We only paid a flying visit as we had spent too long in the Beer Asylum. This is another decent pub serving a decent pint of Ghost Ship. I would call again.

A single room bar with a pleasant ambiance, housed in a former row of Victorian cottages. Etched windows and stripped wooden floors reflect the building's origins but are not that old. There is a garden at the back, mostly lawn, with a covered long terrace by the house. The clientele was mainly young and white collar, while the wooden furniture, including church pew seating and many low stools, all add to a studenty character inside. They run 2 or 3 events each week including quiz nights and jazz evenings. Two ales on draft plus a selection of bottled beers; I had Adnams Ghost Ship which was well kept and enjoyable. I'd be very happy to come back and spend time here.
