A bit of a trek for us but occasionally attend the Monday jazz events, which were weekly before l*ckd*wn but since twice a month. The back room, which doesn't have a bar, fills up quicky and early with a crowd of bus pass holders but seats in restricted view at the side are usually avaiable.
I think the weekly sessions were in the early 1990s at the Red Lion in Twickenham then moved to Mondays at the Coach & Horses, further west to another Red Lion (Isleworth) and even further west to here. It used to be put together bands playing jazz standards almost exclusively but in the past few years they've presented more regular bands.
Twickenham Naked Ladies and Doom Bar are generally on the handpumps, along with the usual suspects. Drinks prices probably average for outer London.
Sports TV and I think there may be a pool table but unsure. B&B upstairs, reasonbaly priced food (pizzas and Sunday roasts a speciality). Beer garden with TV screens and car park – think you have to register.
