This is an Irish shop conversion that isn’t the biggest, but I did spot another room at the back which may be used for functions or overspill when busy or maybe just storage. This is very much a local’s bar and I didn’t find any of them very friendly and the barmaid would rather have not had my custom.

There was a selection of standard draught products available during my visit and I counted two flat screens which were off making way for the radio complete with adverts. I didn’t spot any advertisements for Sky Sports and there was no sign of the match that was in progress, but I would be very surprised if this bar had no Sky.

The two picnic tables out the front are cordoned off from the main path and seemed popular with the smokers who spent more time outside than in even though it was cold and overcast.

Maybe there is a better atmosphere in here on Sundays when there is live music, but I cannot see myself ever returning to find out.
