It used to be a thriving pub back in the day, it's now a mere shadow of its former self - poor decoration, no ambience, disinterested staff, and worst of all no ales (not unusual for pubs around here). Shame - now well below average. Presumably they could be prosecuted under the Trade Descriptions Act for displaying a sign that reads "Every Customer Leaves Wanting To Return".

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sun & Woolpack

As a building, there are traces of character inside this place, but it is now very run down with no sign of real ale (just three old, white handpumps standing as immobile as tombstones) and thus a 'choice' of Tetleys Smooth and John Smiths Smooth. More customers than in the previous review, though.
