Of all of Milton's pubs, this one was the last to feature in the Good Beer Guide in 2018. A bar to the left looked busy when I arrived. It looked as if it was showing an England game in the Six Nations. There seemed to be a pool table in the centre of it.

I headed to a larger room on the right-hand side which had a lino floor and a dining area to the rear, leading to a garden. This was a bit dull with grey painted walls. There was a further room to the far right, also used for dining. Music was playing quietly. Children are allowed in. The pub opens all day every day, including 10am opening for breakfast on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

At the bar, regular cask ales are Fuller's London Pride, Timothy Taylor Landlord & Sharp's Doom Bar. Guest beers were Black Sheep Best Bitter & Adnams Golden Gull. Beavertown Neck Oil was on keg and the with real cider discontinued, the keg cider was Inch's. I opted for the Golden Gull, a beer I had not seen before and it was my favourite beer of the day in Cambridgeshire.

A few were arriving for food. There was a specials board at the side of the bar. This seemed to be the most popular of Milton's pubs and just about edged it for me ahead of the Waggon & Horses. But apparently, they both have the same owners.
