Now open as The Newton Arms. Apparently run by the same people who now run The Coach And Horses in Greasby. Real ale available.
1/5/15:
A largeish pub. Serves some real ales of varying quality. Has a play area with a bouncy castle for kids to use but they seem to prefer running around and shouting inside. Can be full of parents that seem to think that everyone is gonna be charmed by their newly acquired fashion accessories. We're not.

Now under new management. Offering extensive specials, two meals for £10- 7 days a week, in addition to full traditional roasts on Sundays and over 50's menus mon to sat 10am-5pm. Poker mondays 9pm, open mic night tuesdays 8pm, quiz night wednesdays 9pm, and new events being added regularly! I know all this as I am the manager.... nice to meet you ;), see you soon.
