The Volunteer was a decent pub to the south of the centre of Cambridge.
Once inside there was one largish room that was well furnished and comfortable,this was a Whitbread tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Castle Eden bitter and this was very nice the other beers were Wethereds bitter and Pedigree.
