a very pleasant and olde worlde pub hidden away in the back streets. Food and cask ale battle it out for the pubs attention but it seemed like everyone was drinking this afternoon. Four ales on, the Farmers Blonde was nice. But expensive for the area.

A very nice friendly pub and a good supporter of real ales so is a popular haunt of local Camra types.

This is a well kept pub and is well supported by the locals. The interior is traditional and the central bar faces you as you enter with a display of four handpumps, serving up Thwaites Lancaster Bomber, Thwaites Wainwright, Bombardier and a Hobgoblin. The staff and locals are friendly and chatty. This was our last pub to visit on our afternoon tour around New Brighton and to our disappointment, still no local ale to see from Peerless Brewery.
