The Queens looks like a typical estate pub but it is not on an estate.
Once inside there are two separate rooms with a bar to the left and a lounge to the right which was not in use on my Saturday dinner visit.
The lounge is square shaped and carpeted, the seating is bench type and chairs, the bar to the right is larger and also carpeted, there is bench seating and normal tables and chairs.
There are no real ales on the bar,so it was a choice between John Smiths Extra Cold Crap or tasteless Guinness,i opted for the Guinness which was not too bad a drink.
I had a good chat with the friendly lady behind the bar as i had forgot to take my hand drawn map of the area making me pretty lost, she was a great help in me finding some of the back street pubs in the area.
I always enjoy visiting these types of pubs, this one did'nt dissapoint.

Two roomed estate style pub. The room to your right on entering is usually used as an eatery. Its own bar is also found in here. The lounge bar is straight ahead on entering here it has a social club feel to it. Liverpool FC memorabilia is found along the walls and above the bar. A signed Kenny Dalglish shirt is proudly displayed on the wall to the right of the bar. The wall to the left of the bar is adorned with photos of local football teams through the years. No real ale but its a nice enough pub anyway.
