As the name suggests, the Tram Depot is in a large rectangular building that was once a tram depot. The frontage is lined with short picnic tables that sit behind a waist high brick wall. Inside a tiled floored area is faced by the slightly curved bar counter that is centrally placed on the rear wall. Seating is found to the left, right and across the front windows Where there’s also a snug. Premium and craft keg is available and the six hand pumps were drawing Everards’ Tiger and Old Ale alongside Wiper & True’s Superdelic and two real cider options of Pulpt Melba and Thatchers’ Stan’s Big Apple. The service was polite and there was some background music playing, but as the only customer there was no atmosphere. There are some amazing pubs around these parts so a return visit when it’s busier isn’t on the cards.

From the outside, it has retained enough of the fabric to make its original use apparent. However, the interior - while OK on its own terms - doesn't really reflect that, and it could be a converted 'anything. Five cask beers available from the six handpumps, including the Old Original (£5.45) and Tiger from owners Everards and various guests. Marked down as the advertised food was not available and the limited staff appeared disinterested, so not sure what's going on here?

A nice modern refit of an old tram depot, perhaps a little too predictably like many a modern rural-style pub but offering a good drinking space. There is a large front bar split up into little areas, with a restaurant section to the rear and a side patio. Beers are from Everards plus guests and generally seemed ok, although one had to be returned and the two lists of guest beers did not agree with each other, so it might need a little attention to detail.
