Still the boisterous pub in Rainford with a down to earth clientele. Didn’t see the second room but the main bar is spacious and traditional though with the obligatory tedious Covid era green-ish grey-ish paint job. A few ales on the bar in Old Peculier, Landlord and Abbots. It didn’t bode well when the barmaid didn’t even know what I was talking about when I asked for the Old Peculier, but it was actually a very good pint. It’s a decent local if nothing remarkable.

A pleasant enough 2 roomed pub. The room to the front is the main room and there is a smaller bar to the back. There was only the one cask on and this was Wainwright. It seemed to be the more boisterous of the Rainford pubs.
