Nicely lit and welcoming from the outside, inside it's one broken out room with two areas. There was a beer on the handpumps, but offhand I can't remember what it was. It was drinkable though. Ms CAMRA had a half of fizzy cider. Two minutes after sitting down one of the smelliest blokes I've ever had the misfortune to encounter sat next to us at the table. Needless we didn't stick around long after that. As Strongers says, a forgetable place, but we won't forget Mr Smelly. Was he one of the Mister Men?

The Saddle Inn has orange banquettes under the front and left-hand windows and a brass topped serving counter up the right that faces high tables around the entrance. Along the rear is a row of green banquettes that are separated from the bar area by a flight of stairs down to the toilets. Premium and mainstream craft products were available alongside Carling from the bar. This is a forgettable place, in fact two weeks or so after visiting I can’t really remember it, hence the short review.

A down to earth locals corner pub, no real ale on during my visit and not sure if that's a permanent state of affairs or not, probably one best left to the locals.
