The nearest pub to Bramley Moore Dock and Everton's new ground, this was predictably busy for a test event yesterday. However, the crowds outside gave a bit of a false impression, as we still got to the bar and got served quickly due to a large number of serving staff.

The pub has already been kitted out with Everton items and football-related tunes were playing too. There's still no cask ale here, just a basic keg selection. So, it's unlikely to be a place I'm likely to frequent too often.

A bouncer was on the door, but he was merely stopping customers walking out with proper glasses. Plastic had to be used outside, probably due to local regulations.

This pub is a bit tricky to get to as its in a bit of an industrial area and has a limited amount of buses that can get you near it. Situated right outside Bramley Moore dock this is a fairly standard pub. The interior is a single room and it is done up to sort of resemble the inside of a ship. There is a pool table to the left. The bar is ahead of you as you enter. No real ale is available so its standard bitters and lagers. Its a surprisingly comfortable pub with a mixture of low banquettes and tables and chairs. If Everton eventually do move to a new ground in Bramley Moore then as this is the only pub around here its obviously going to be packed. But not now.
