Large pub in Crosby Village, just around the corner from the excellent Crow's Nest, the Birkey (or Beeerkey in a Scouse accent) is a community locals pub. Some jukeboxes dotted around, music was low, also very popular for sports with the large TVs around the pub. Lots of blue, grey and yellow paintwork. 3 pumps 2 on, Rocking Rudolph & Caledonian Deuchars, both priced at £4.30 a pint. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming.
