A pretty good traditional style pub. A single open plan room with distinct areas to sit in. A central staircase that is gated off is slap bang in the middle of the room. 3 handpumps dispensed 3 real ales from Liverpool Organic today. Last time I was in here was about 20 years ago but sadly I was a bit pissed so unfortunately can't compare then and now.

Initially i was a little apprehensive about this one and expecting a rough and ready pub full of unsavoury characters.But all my fears prooved unfounded on entry with the pub bright and clean with a friendly Landlady and locals.There were 3 cask beers on with the Cains Triple Hop and Adnams Lighthouse were both on top form.
