A good few years ago I would have rated this pub a lot higher, when it was a tied Bass house, as their mild was outstanding. I suppose the reason being that the previous manager drank a lot of it. The pub consists of a large L shaped lounge on the left, with a raised seating area to the front and a pool table at the rear of the lounge. The public bar on the right is not in use now. The majority of the customers here drink Carling lager, you will be lucky to find anything else on draught.
