The Woodstock is a large imposing pub with an big garden that houses lots of covered and uncovered seating, as well as a bar counter for when the weather is nice, as it was during my recent midweek early evening visit. The inside is roomy, but it wasn’t as big as I was expecting before I entered. The bar counter is found on the rear wall where premium and craft keg is available. I also counted five hand pumps that were drawing Black Sheep Best and their Respire Carbon Neutral Cask (decent), Oakham Citra, Purity Brewing’s Mad Goose and Rosie’s Pig Cider. To the left of the bar is some seating and the exit to the aforementioned beer garden. I didn’t venture up the large staircase. The service was polite and I thought this was a decent pub in a leafy suburb of Manchester.
