The main bar of the Wellington was closed during my visit on Monday evening and the dart team was playing at home in the small public bar so it was very cosy. The U-shaped bar counter on the rear wall supports a standard keg range. There are small seating areas with televisions to the right and left of the entrance, but I ended up stood at a barrel whilst I supped on a below par Fosters. There is a jukebox that was playing some background music. I wasn’t very impressed with this place and I found the found the service to not be the friendliest.

Known locally as "The Little Welly" this is a smart multi roomed pub. The bar is to the left as you enter and there's another room behind the bar with a pool table. To the right are 2 more small rooms which are both lounges with some high backed leather look seats and copper topped tables. There are some very weird looking, naked, baby dolls on the jukebox and the bandit which are a bit creepy though. No real ale sadly, so I had to have a half of Carling which was £1.41 which is very expensive compared to most of the other pubs in Patricroft. It's a pleasant pub, but I can't see me calling in again.

The Wellington is quite a nice looking bare brick built pub that is in a fairly quiet area of Eccles.
Once inside the pub had two rooms that we noticed, there was a decent bar which was comfortable to drink and a smarter lounge.
When i visited this pub it was a Greenall Whitley tied house, there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Greenalls bitter which was a bit bland but a decent enough to drink, the other beer was Greenalls mild.
This was a decent pub to have a drink in.
