The Vulcan is a stand alone pub that looked quite nice from the outside when i visited it,the pub is roughly inbetween the Steelworks Tavern and the Gardeners Arms.
Once inside the pub was fairly basic and seemed pretty much unaltered,i had a drink in the bar which was basic but comfortable enough,the pub was a Wilsons tied house when i went in it and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Wilsons bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Boddingtons bitter.
I think this pub is still up and running.
