The Star was a largish stand alone pub that looked like it was built in the 30s,when i went in this pub it had the ardwick flats complex as a backdrop but these were being demolished by the time i got to take a photo of the pub.
Once inside there were a couple of large rooms that i noticed and i had a drink in the bar which was fairly basic,the pub used to be a Wilsons tied house but it was a Banks's tied house when i went in it,there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Banks's bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Banks's mild.
The pub is still standing but has now sadly closed down.
