Alan Winfield left this review about The Star Inn
The Star Inn was a 70s built pub that looked a bit different from the outside, this pub was built to replace the original Star Inn which had been demolished.
Once inside the pub i went in a room that was quite smart with comfortable bench seating and it was also carpeted, this room was fairly large and i am not sure if there were any other rooms.
This pub was a Scottish & Newcastle tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Youngers No 3 and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Youngers IPA.
I thought this was a decent pub to have a few drinks in, sadly this pub has now been pulled down and there is now nothing on its site.
What a waste of a decent pub.
