The Roebuck is a huge Holts pub with a large dining area to the left and a bar area to the right. The usual keg was available and the four hand pumps were drawing Bitter and a decent drop of Two Hoots. Not wishing to breach the ‘please wait to be seated sign’ I stayed in the right-hand bar area where there is a dartboard and large screen for airing live sports. Out the back is some seating on flagstones that overlooks a bowling green, which explains the Roebuck Bowling Club photos on the wall in the bar. The service was polite and the pub comfortable so I’d pop back in if passing.

A nice old pub serving Holts'. Still has a bowling green at the back.
