The Red Lion is set back from the main road by a large stone laid area lined with old picnic tables. Through the entrance is the bar area with tiled floor and serving counter to the left. The usual Holts keg is available and I counted two hand pumps, one off and the other drawing Bitter. Around to the rear of the bar are some high tables and a dartboard. To the right of the entrance is a long seating area where two large speakers also reside for live music or a DJ. Another room is found in the right rear and televisions for showing live football are located throughout the pub. Out the back is a large beer garden with picnic tables. The service was polite and the locals all harmless enough. I would visit here if I lived locally.

Large multi-roomed Joseph Holts pub. Very traditional in style it was a pleasant and friendly pub. The room I was in opposite the bar was a comfortable one with banquette seating around the room. Plenty of tellies dotted around. A large beer garden is to the rear. 4 handpumps on the bar with Holts Bitter and Hat Trick on today.
