During a visit to Prestwich on a Saturday night early last year the oddly named Railway & Naturalist Inn was hosting a disco and was heaving inside with bouncers on the door. This was not the case when I visited on Tuesday evening last week when there were ten or so people in to watch the Sky Sports football at high volume on the multiple screens. This place was much smaller inside than I imagined, but there is enough room for a pool table at the rear. A standard and premium keg range is available from the bar which supports two hand pumps. One of these was unused which left Wadworths 6X as the lone cask ale option. I found the service to be friendly but was left a little underwhelmed after my visit.

A two-roomed boozer that's very basic. Whitewashed walls and fairly basic seats and tables. 2 handpumps on the bar with only Black Sheep Bitter on. One TV dominated with horsey horsey dullness.
