Alan Winfield left this review about The Manor House
The Manor House was a large stand alone pub that did resemble a manor house, the pub was just south of the centre of withington.
Once inside the pub was quite smart and the room i went in was carpeted and had comfortable seating, when i visited this pub it was a Tetley tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Jennings bitter and this was a nice drink the other beer was Tetley bitter.
This pub is still standing but looks in a very sorry state awaiting its fate.
