Strongers . left this review about The Horseshoe
The Horseshoe is located adjacent to the River Irwell in Ringley by the Grade II listed stone Ringley Bridge which is classed as an ancient monument. This is a nice scenic place which is just a few minutes’ walk from the not so great Manchester Road that runs through Kearsley.
The pub interior is L-shaped with a bar counter centrally placed on the rear wall. I counted eight standard and premium keg products, and two of the three hand pumps were in operation drawing Thwaites Gold and GK Rocking Rudolph. During a recent Tuesday evening visit the seating to the right of the entrance was full of folksy musicians. There is no standing allowed at the bar, so I had to sit on my own in the seating that runs up the left hand side of the pub. This was a shame because I’d have liked to have absorbed some of the atmosphere, but I suppose rules are rules. Nice location.
