Strongers . left this review about The Hare & Hounds

The Hare and Hounds has front and rear seating/dining areas to the left and a thin tile floored bar area to the right where the serving counter faces high tables across the front windows. There’s more seating in the right rear behind the bar, but this was lights out during a recent Tuesday evening visit when there was just one other customer. Standard and premium keg options were available and Thwaites Gold was also available from the two or three hand pumps. I enjoyed having a good old chinwag with the other customer and the staff so I’d pop back in if passing when hopefully there's more ale choice.

Neat little Thwaites pub with multiple rooms. There's a small bar area to the right and a seating area to the left. There's a larger dining room to the rear of the bar with all tables reserved on my Friday, late afternoon visit. There's yet another seating area to the rear left. There's a large, suntrap of a beer garden to the side, very nicely done with paved tiers and plants all around the outside. For some reason a tiny and tinny radio was playing on top of the jukebox which was crap. Apart from that though and the fried food smell I really liked this pub. There are two handpump which were serving Original & Wainwright. The Wainwright was in good nick and was decent value at £3.
