The Hare and Hounds was a decent enough looking pub, that was situated at the bottom end of the pedestrianised high street.
Once inside the pub had been opened out into a single room that was quite smart,it was carpeted and had a mix of normal tables and chairs and bench seating.
The pub was a Wilsons tied house, there were two real ales on the bar on our visit here,we had a drink of Wilsons bitter which was a decent drink, the other beer was Wilsons mild.
This was a decent enough pub to have a drink in.
It is a shame that this is yet another Eccles pub to close down.
