There were two customers sat with the landlady at a high table in the small L shaped bar to the right of the entrance when I visited The Grapes at around 22:00 on Wednesday night. Under the front right window are a couple of low tables along with some armchairs and there is a seating room to the left of the entrance. At the rear is more seating and on the rear wall is a projector screen. Televisions are located throughout for airing live sport, but these were all off/muted during my visit in favour of some background music. A DJ is advertised for Friday and Saturday nights. Only keg available and cash only.

We got mixed up and thought we were visiting the Camra National Inventory of Historic Interiors, so very disappointed to find out that it wasn't. The pub we wanted was over the far side of Eccles. The interior of this pub was nothing to write home about and someone had decided to paint all the original timberwork in white paint, which included the bar front. The interior consisted of the bar area on the right of the entrance a small room on the left and an odd triangle shaped room at the rear. No real ale to be found in here, the locals were quite friendly and jolly having a good afternoon on the Carling.
