The Bird I'th Hand came as a reminder that I was in the north, my phone autocorrect certainly didn’t like the northern dialect. This is a large imposing pub with an island bar counter that is encircled by seating and televisions for showing live football. There was a decent crowd in for the England v Scotland international even though it was just a friendly match. Premium and craft keg was available and I spotted a couple of hand pumps, one of which was in use drawing Wainwright. I’d pop back in if passing.
