Poked my nose in this one and can confirm that is is unchanged from the previous review some three years ago.
Still very much a sports bar with a social club for middle aged blokes and beyond feel to it.
Still no ale here and Guinness and standard lagers seemed to be the preference of the locals. I wasn’t in the mood for some John Smiths cold crap so went for a softie and it wasn’t long before I was heading further up Priory Road towards Hornsey for the Great Northern Railway Tavern.
It serves a purpose but I won’t be bothering with this one again over the nearby Elizabeth Stakes

The Priory is a sports type pub that is set in a row of shops and a Ladbrooks.
Once inside there is an oblong shaped room which runs to the rear,the bar is on the right side,the room is bare boarded and the seating normal tables and chairs to the front,settees in the middle area,there is a pool table to the rear.
There were no real ales on the bar,so it was a drink of John Smiths Smooth Crap which was crap.
The background music was from Heart FM.
There mainly older male drinkers in who seem to love the John Smiths Smooth crap.
Not really my sort of pub.

Strongers . left this review about New Priory Inn

The Priory looks a little grim from the outside, but all is forgiven as it is next door to a Ladbrokes and my bus home stops directly outside. It's a lot bigger inside than you would have thought from the exterior and it has a social club feel to it. There are a couple of quiz machines, a pool table and a dartboard with plenty of room around them. Whilst I was there Sky Sports was on the TV and the locals were having a bit of banter about the Premiership.

The usual lagers were on offer, but only Greene King IPA for the ale drinkers which made me chuckle at the huge “Charrington since 1757, celebrated ales” mirror up on the wall. The barmaid was very friendly and wished me a good day from the other side of the pub when I left.

The air was a little blue and it felt like a working men's social club so I wouldn't rush down there with the misses, but it would be a decent pub to go with a few mates for some pub sports .
