The Blue Lion, situated in the centre of Fen Ditton village, was a Hungry Horse pub opened in February 2003. Greedy King have obviously considered that people prefer the more traditional three remaining pubs in Fen Ditton to their plastic eating house, as they applied for planning permission to demolish the pub, and erect a 41-bedroom residential home for the elderly on the site back in 2010. That planning permission was granted a couple of months back, so the good people of this village can expect some new build housing to start real soon…
