I noticed when Passing a few weeks ago this Pub Is now Closed down & The freehold is Up for sale.

This is very much a residential pub tucked away in the back streets of East Finchley. There is a pool table and a dart board in the sparsely decorated back bar area where a few locals that were playing pool looked at me quizzically as they wondered who this stranger was wandering into their pub's toilet. The front bar is laid out like a lounge complete with sofas and a piano.

I found the two staff to be very friendly as they welcomed me into their pub. John Smiths, Guinness, Strongbow and standard lagers are all available. There is one real ale pump, but this was off during this visit.

There was a good selection of music playing although it was a little loud for my liking. There is also a plasma screen in the back bar which was turned off when it seemed most other pubs in the area were showing the rugby on Setanta, not that this is a bad thing.

This is certainly not a pub to go out of your way for, but the local residents are lucky to have it on their doorsteps.

Note: This pub opens at 15:00 on a weekday and at 12:00 at the weekend.
