Cask here was five hand pumps all dispensing and providing St Austell Tribute, Sharps Sea Fury, Farmer Jim’s pineapple and passion fruit cider, Tiny Rebel Cwtch Welsh red ale and Doom Bar. Keg offering of Madri, Camden Hells and Pale Ale, Orchard Thieves cider, Pravha, Guinness, Moretti, Neck Oil, Gamma Ray, Murphy’s Irish Stout, Inch’s, Budvar, Cruz, Alpacalypse, Amstel, Mash Gang Chug AF IPA, Signature Brew Haze Machine, tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica, Jubel Peach lager, Pillars Pilsner and Blue Moon.
Long rectangular venue from the shop fronted entrance side. Bare boarded with a glazed ceramic tile area in the front either side of the entrance with crimson studded banquettes in the front windows serving regular tables. The bar counter is down the left-hand wall middle to rear corner with some tall stool seating at the bar counter. There are some regular and tall tables in the rear right hand corner, which also has a skylight, ahead of some glass doors leading out to the extensive decked exterior seating area which has a lot of covered seating and of various styles including some booth tables. To the end of the bar counter ahead of another exit to the external seating area is a carpeted small room called the Snug offering regular tables and chairs. There are quite a few screens dotted around the bar area showing baseball on my visit. No sound that provided by a Motown soundtrack. There are a lot of beer mats on the upper parts of the walls around the bar counter suggesting this place prides itself on a decent cask offering. All in all, wasn’t expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised by the venue.

A community pub with an open but long interior with a modern traditional feel and a mix of seating throughout. Five pumps on the bar, Robinsons Dizzy Blonde, Courage Directors, Theakstons Old Peculiar and Holts Two Hoots along with a Thatchers Cider, the Two Hoots was a little hazy but tasted fine. Nothing particularly special here but worth a look if passing.

The interior is long and narrow but the decor looks a bit tatty ,the furniture is well worn and it's not shabby chic.Towards the rear is a lower snug ,on the way to the beer garden.Rugby was being aired on the flatscreens bringing in a decent number of punters and there was a friendly chatty service from behind the bar. There were four real ales Deuchars IPA, Charles Wells DNA,Adnams Broadside and Southwold Bitter (very tired). At the front there was a large fridge of craft beers which might be more popular than the mundane ale selection. We settled at the front into leather seating so worn it was difficult to extract yourself, although the nearby woodburner did offer some compensation.
Well used by locals, and free of gastro makeover ,quizzes on two nights just a shame more flair isnt shown on ale selection but maybe it's owned by a pubco and that the reason.
