Four handpumps, three with clips turned round and one un-clipped. Very disappointing. Keg offering of John Smiths, Peroni, Amstel, Stella, Guinness, original and strawberry SB, Fosters, Carlsberg, Moretti, Heineken.
Large corner pub not too far from Walthamstow Central station and my first ever tick in E17! The venue is generally bare boarded, with a patterned ceramic tiled skirt in front of the bar counter which winds around the rear part of the venue with a small amount of tall stool seating in the middle part. To the left of the side entrance is a raised carpeted seating area in the windows, the area generally providing regular tables and chairs and a continuous line-up of gaming machines against the rear wall to the left-hand side of the start of the snaking bar counter. The continuity of the roadside frontage offers further regular tables and chairs and some bucket style armchairs in places, with the area raised and carpeted along the roadside window edge. Along the left-hand wall beyond the far end of the bar counter were a few booth tables, this far corner being carpeted. There are a lot of TV screens in the venue, and it clearly presents as a venue showing live sport, indeed the venue was building up in the coverage to the evening euro games not quite with sound on my visit, that provided by a rather muted pop soundtrack. The venue was lively with a diverse attendance, it felt like a major tube station nearest drinking establishment sort of venue.

As Graham describes, a functional with three cask on, BHB Pave The Way, London Pride and Portobello Westway Pale(in fair shape) and a Doom Bar clip turned. I only came here as Ye Olde Rose & Crown was late opening, It filled a gap.

Somewhat modernised and with a definite excess of sports screens, this busy place by the station is not a bad pub overall and quite fit for purpose. The beers were better than expected, with two from Portobello, Doom Bar and something from ELB coming soon. A small row of Brewdog taps makes up the unexciting craft offering however. Convenient for changing trains, buses etc but wouldn't spend the night here.
