Things are looking up on this visit to visit remaining venues on here in SW15, albeit another visit will be required as a couple of the venues are not open on a Monday. This is a really decent venue with by far and away the most interesting part being the bar area on entering on the door on the corner of the pub. There is a small seating area outside but I am not a fan of these outside areas on busy roads with slow moving traffic. The front bar area is a small’ish square with the bar itself along the right hand wall. The remainder of the area is wood panelled to head height with pewter tankards hanging on the dark green painted upper parts of the walls. A similarly dark green leather banquettes provides some of the seating on the left part of the bar area with a mixture of other seating, a stand along leather sofa, stools and chairs all with the same dark green leather seating pad and small round or small square / rectangular tables. A small jar on each table with some colourful flowers provided a non-typical pub bar area touch! Music was good but a bit too loud. A walk though on the back left side of the bar takes you through to a larger seating area behind, including a part at the very back down a small step. The glass yard of ale vessel adorns the wall on the first of the two areas beyond the front bar area.
There were three hand pumps all dispensing during my visit. TT Landlord was chosen by me and in good Nick above the other two offerings, both being cask ciders, namely Rosie’s Pig and Sandford Orchards Devon Mist. Plenty of keg choices, San Miguel, Estrella, Lucky Saint, Budvar, Camden Hells, Guinness, Stowford Press, Yuzu Yu, Camden Pale, Adnams Mosaic Pale Ale, Neck Oil, Mondo Little Victories Pale Ale. A couple of others that I noted as the Seventh Step and New England Pale that I didn’t record the breweries!
Thought this was a really good venue that was very characterful. Would definitely edge up in my view with a slightly different alignment between the cask offerings. Nevertheless would definitely include it in my go pub choices when in the area, albeit I would rate a few places here at or above this level because of the aforementioned cask offerings.

This is a Victorian pub towards the eastern end of Upper Richmond Road, within spitting distance of East Putney tube.
There are separate areas but the most pleasant is the front section with wood panelling probably dating from at least the 1950s, above which is a calming dark green paint scheme, with much of the upper walls adorned with – according to CAMRA – at least 100 pewter mugs, with a wall mounted yard of ale. There’s a tasteful bar back, bare brick further into the rooms, with paint now grey. Furniture is conventional with décor taking the form of some stuffed fish, to a decent ‘60s’ and ‘70s’ soundtrack, lapped up by a youngish professional crowd.
A better choice of ale than most in these climes offered a House Best (Siren), ESB and Landlord at a steep £3.00 a half and very drinkable too.
This is an above average pub and the best choice along this stretch, but it’s far from being the top pub in SW15 though.

This is a street corner pub/restaurant with around two thirds of the area from the middle to the rear set up for formal dining. The bar and drinking area are at the front, the floor is boarded, seating at small Britannia tables, walls half wood panelled and painted dark green above with scores of pewter tankards hanging on little hooks. Above there is a section of picture rail with a number of whisky branded water jugs on show. Other décor includes a stuffed fish in a glass case plus some sort of stuffed fowl. The randomly placed blue railway carriage seat numbers remain which add a bit of interest to me. Newspapers on a table, outdoor seating to the frontage, a new upstairs private dining room "coming soon", maybe this will open the pub up a bit more for drinkers, maybe not.
Beers on were Doom Bar, Purity Mad Goose Pale Ale plus Addlestones cider. The Mad Goose was £2.10 a half, par for the course in a place like this. Neither here nor there really, if anything it felt a bit snooty, nothing much to attract me back.
