There's no real ale in here of course - Guinness was £3.60 a pint. I did spot a limited pizza menu rolled up in a glass on the bar counter, at around £6 or £7 a time.
I'm not sure if this pub does have a second room; there certainly wasn't one in use when I visited on a weekday lunchtime, and I did spot that at least some of the ground floor space, which would clearly have been part of the public space at some time, has now been converted to hotel use. In fact this is now as much as, or perhaps more a hotel than a pub these days. I though it an inter-war pub, but WhatPub says it's post-war so I will go with that. In any case it's still a standard estate pub, and certainly not Victorian as claimed by the pub/hotel's own website.
The room that was in pub use was quite comfortable, being carpeted and with plastic upholstered fixed bench seating and normal tables and chairs. There's a dartboard at the back, has a few potted plants dotted around the room, and a couple of TVs on with one showing the horse racing and the other a sports chanel. The bar counter's a simple affair with fluted panelling on the front, which is probably original whereas the counter top is new. The simple bar back is also probably original, but it's hard to tell for sure as it was completely obscured by optics, bottles, and foreign banknotes pinned to it. There's a bit of outside seating at the front.
This is a standard locals' estate pub. It's a comfortable place to enjoy a pint, but of course a decent real ale would be a big plus.

Two rooms to this place. Bar to my right as I walked in. Another bar in the other room which I did not visit. No hand pumps - just keg.
