Old school corner pub which was busy with friendly locals. An average pint of Landlord. I enjoyed this place and we had a couple of games of ultra competitive pool. We even called back in here later in the evening. Not the best beer choice but a good "no frills" boozer

Quite lively at 7.15pm with an ultra competitive game of pool and the sound of clanking balls above what seemed like an endless chain of Phil Collins hits (to call them that). Two hand pumps clearly recently dispensing (god knows what that would have drunk like) Doom Bar and TT Landlord so again in this Craft Union offering of shiny taps, crap lagers, flavoured ciders, Guinness nothing to opt for other than the nectar that is John Smiths (my saying nectar of what). The pub has a nice corner spot to watch the world go by and so it was a shame it had little to offer on the beer front. Again sport on several TV’s but not even the evening card from Wolv to occupy me but rather just start of week coverage of the upcoming US Masters, utterly pointless given it is largely discussion with no live action obviously to show with zero volume. At least have stopped the Phil C torture with some moderately less harm from a few from Bryan Adams. Am not really selling this place am I?

Now a Craft Union pub and now doing cask but nothing to get excited about, Doom Bar with a reversed Pride clip. Its obviously been spuced up a little in here but still does very little for me.
