I'd not visited this pub before my fleeting visit last week, but I did get the feeling that it had seen better times. There are two unused hand pumps meaning that only a standard draught selection is available and the Sky Sports future events board was being used to advertise the premade rolls that are available from one of the drinks fridges behind the bar – I did have a couple of ham salad rolls though and they went down a treat. The projector screen above a small piano at the rear of the pub looked like it hadn't been used in some time, but there is a plasma screen in the front bar which was showing Sky Sports News. There is also a pool table and a dartboard which is good to see although I'm not a fan of test your strength boxing machines in pubs. The background music was a bit loud for my liking and the constant change of genre was giving me a headache.

The barmaid was nice enough, but I don't think that I'll be returning here in a hurry.
