Bucking Fastard left this review about Grove House Tavern
A fine looking pub in red brick and well lit, there are two side doors leading to an open plan interior with a mix of bench seating, booths and taditional dining style tables with a side square room ,probably originally for billiards but quiet on my visit. The interior winds to the front with a faux wood burner consuming gas.
There are lots of keg taps but nothing too interesting and three handpumps offering on my trip Southwark Bermondsey Best,By the Horns Foundry and a very good Five Points XPA (NBSS 4) as you might expect from a 2025 GBG entry.
A reliable place for real ale ,dont miss it if crawling the area and a pub with a friendly welcome and some community spirit.I would gladly pop in again.

Blue Scrumpy left this review about Grove House Tavern
The Grove House is quite an impressive building from the outside and is situated in the backstreets of Camberwell. The main room has a skylight and grey-blue painted walls. The room extends off to the left-hand side of the entrance, with a further smaller room to the rear. Pot plants can be found on shelves and also hanging from the skylight.
The pub was busy. A few were eating Sunday lunches, but there were quite a few drinkers. The hubbub of conversation was drowning out the music that was playing.
Plenty of bar staff were available. So, I was served quickly. There are 3 handpulls and 3 London real ales were on offer - Five Points XPA, Southwark Bermondsey Best & By The Horns Foundry. Craft beers were Brixton Reliance, Orbit Nico, Five Points Pale & Gipsy Hill Hepcat. I chose the Foundry which was a very enjoyable dry stout. At £2.60 for a half, it was probably the cheapest drink I had during the day too.
With a small outdoor drinking area as well, this pub is well worth seeking out.

Tris C left this review about Grove House Tavern
This backstreet pub dates from the early 19th century, probably built to serve the neighbouring period Georgian houses. The attractive, imposing and according to CAMRA ‘…reminiscent of a French villa…’ edifice dates from 1926, with a French Empire-Style mansard; a former Meux’s sign frame is extant, no longer part of the Grand Union chain.
What’s certainly impressive is the tiled, multi-faceted entrance lobby; the interior was probably once quite something, but today is contemporary, tasteful and restrained: bare boarded, a modern bar back, original bar front, blue-green colour scheme with a white ceiling and some ‘jungle’-style wallpaper, all visible on their website. Furniture is either conventional or fawn, opposed bench booth-style. Customers were young, exuberant professional locals, making for quite a din at the time of my Saturday 8.40pm visit.
There were two cask offerings: Bermondsey Best and Five Points XPA, £2.50 a half and not bad.
This is one of the better offerings in the immediate vicinity but is no match for the Hermits Cave.
