Oh dear ! I used this in the late 70's /early eighties when it was a pleasant locals pub but these days it's been stripped out ,pine flooring,a sports pub feel with a bit of oirish thrown in.Totally souless and only one punter in ,a mate of the barman who told me he was busy fixing something upstairs.
The TT Landlord and Doom Bar clips had half glasses on them, the keg selection was mundane mutinational crap so I turned turtle never to return again.Awful.

Dating from the mid-19th century, this pub is named after the eponymous Prime Minister.
The place has recently been taken over by Craft Union who have stamped their imprimatur all over it; if you’ve been to a CU pub before, you’ll know what to expect, but it’s not to my taste. Then there are the typical touches such as bright lighting, sports’ TV inclinations, darts and pool. With their ridiculous cockapoo fringes, perms, taches and overall paean to Graeme Souness circa 1986, customers were very much ladz on the lagerz and despite being adjacent to the enormous Salvation Army’s William Booth Memorial Training College, there were no signs of Mr. Tambourine Man at the time of my Thursday 10.00pm visit, despite the availability of non-alcoholic beverages.
A meagre cask attempt amounted to Doom and Landlord with glasses topping the pumps, Neck Oil not functioning correctly, then a half of Guinness at just £2.15, served by a surly barman.
This is actually one of the better CU offerings, but it’s all relative.

Rated: 3.5.

The entrance is up a couple of steps through a front decked seating area facing the road. Inside there is an opened out single boarded room with a central almost island bar. An octagonal column directly in front of the counter has some colourful psychedelic markings towards the top. Little otherwise of note regarding decorations.
Two handpumps with one on serving Brockley Brewery Pale Ale which looks to be a regular reading earlier reviews.
Plenty of regular seating but there are some high tables at the back and a pair of tatty sofas to the front corner. Toilets are George and Georgettes. How crap and naff is that?
