Greene King pub which hosts live music. There was an event taking place upstairs during our visit but I'm not sure it was a band.

The ground floor was busy for our visit, being after a game at the Emirates Stadium. Bouncers are on the doors. The all Greene King cask range was Greene King Scrumdown, Morland Old Speckled Hen & Hardy & Hanson's Olde Trip. Keg beers included Greene King Hazy Day & Level Head, Lost & Grounded Wanna Go The Sun & Northern Monk A Little Faith.

As with the previous reviewer, I can see little reason to return here, as I don't really attend live music events these days.

A pub of some renown in music circles, but as a pub itself there is little remarkable about it. Three cask beers were on, Greene King Abbot and Fireside as well as St Austell Tribute, the Fireside was of middling quality. I only called in to firstly tick the pub but also because the much preferred Pocket over the road was doing an impression of a sardine can.

Famous music venue in a classic pub which has been knocked about a bit. The ground floor bar has an industrial sort of feel, with fixed pipework tables and a recycled timber bar front. The walls, and indeed windows, are covered in flyers and memorabilia of past and forthcoming acts. The music part itself is downstairs, while upstairs there is a 50-seat theatre. 6 ales are on handpump, all from the Greene King range, plus some crafty keg and boxed ciders. Credit must go to Greene King for leaving this slice of musical and pub history relatively unspoilt.
