An impressive building with a great exterior,this is a Fullers Ale & Pie house close to Tower Hill and with an ornate interior.It's a single bar room with high columns ,some very good cornicing and comfortable leather bound bench seating around the periphery.There are prints all over the walls,window drapes,the flooring is in wood apart from some mosaic tiling close to the bar,and the brass chandeliers give a lot of character to the wood panelled interior.
There will always be quite a bit of vertical drinking around the bar,so sharp elbows are useful to get to the 6 handpumps.There was a guest in Gritchie Moon Lore but the barman said it would take 5 minutes to change the barrel and suggested I order something else.(Clip should have been reversed IMHO).The other choice was Fullers ESB,Olivers Island, London Pride and Dark Star Hophead (NBSS 3 and £5.05).
The food offering is not shoved down your throat,only a few menus were dotted about,but the pricing is very high £16 for a pie and thats a median main price as well,for basically pub grub.
It's worth a look for the fine features but your wallet may take a hammering if in for more than a quick one.

I have scored this pub quite high, because of the stunning interior. Lots of oak panelling, large polished brass ceiling lamps, gilded cornice work and walls painted in a heritage blue with contrasting beige painted ceilings. Six handpumps, serving five Fullers beers and one guest, which was Dark Star Hophead. We went for the London Pride, which was in good condition, priced at £4.90 a pint.

Not visited for a good few years, this is a Fuller's Ale & Pie House conversion of a former commercial building.
Ornate and opulent inside and a magnet for tourists visiting the Tower of London across the road.
Fuller's ales on offer, if you've been to one of Fuller's other similar outlets you know what to expect.
