One of many trendy bars on the strip that is Whiteladies Road. There's a small courtyard at the front which is a pleasant spot to watch the world go by. The pub itself is bigger than first impressions may suggest, going back quite some way.
The front bar has rather unusual and very low, bench seating and sticky tables (at least, mine was sticky anyway). The tables were illuminated in various colours which is also somewhat unusual. A plasma on the wall was showing the golf.
No beers on tap unfortunately, real ales or otherwise, so it's got to score a low mark. Ciders faired slightly better with Thatcher's Gold on draft and a number of bottled “Summer Specials” chalked up on a board.
