Uninspiring one room pub with no real ale and only keg on offer. Backpackers on show and it took quite some time to get served. I will not be returning.

This pub looks the real deal from the outside with its traditional green tiled walls, but inside it’s somewhat different. The pub is indeed used as a hostel. The bar seems to be furnished with bright red banquettes, and when I dropped in the other day there was a group of apparent backpackers lounging around. There’s no real ale now. This is not my sort of pub.

Has had a revamp. Looks the same on the outside and depending on when you last visited, the inside has been made brighter. Part of the pub is now a hostel. There is also is an payable internet cafe type area and free wifi access.
