Komakino . left this review about The Old Queens Head
Like the nearby Crown and Red Lion, an inn with a few centuries of history, this is part of the Little Gems Country Dining group and was heaving on an early Friday evening with the car park full and the small bar two-deep - not helped by a couple sharing a bottle of fizz in an ice bucket taking up a third of the space. Like the Crown Inn, this is multi-roomed and multi-levelled and oozes character, although a bland ale line-up of Belhaven Best, Ruddles County and Old Speckled Hen meant it's letting itself down on that front. One to revisit at a quieter time methinks.
