Visited 16/04/25. Visited as Brondes Age on 06/11/23 and as Cobden Arms on 02/11/20

No cask. Sixteen taps on the bar counter a mix of typical and a very decent craft range. The oft seen ones were Asahi, Red Stripe, Moretti, Cruz, Orchard Thieves cider, Camden Hells, Pilsner Urquell and then Guinness. The craft range was the hazy pale Fuzzy from Cloudwater, Hoop a pale ale from Full Circle Brew Co, Rolling Papers another hazy IPA from Bullhouse Brew Co, Whisper a pale ale from Floc, a strong IPA called Hear the Cadence from Whiplash, the lovely NZ pale ale called Quench from Burning Sky, the Raspberry Sour from Vault City and the Paulaner Ur-Dunkel.

This is a much-improved venue from the previous Incarnation with a notable craft selection. The bar counter is on the right-hand wall in the front section of the venue with a high sheen emerald green tiled bar front and a copper bar counter with some leather backed stools at the bar counter. Tiled skirt but otherwise block flooring with the feature of a square column in the centre of the space with a ledge around and stool seating. Otherwise, banquette along the left-hand wall and in the small space at the back before two sets of stairs up to the rear section with banquette and regular chairs and a couple of booth arrangements around generally small seating. The venue has walls which are red brick but painted on the rear wall, also red!

Bucking Fastard left this review about The Cobden Arms

A shop conversion not so much an Irish pub but a pub full of Irish. It's quite basic with two raised carpeted sections right at the back ,the bar to the right and two flatscreens for sport thankfully on mute.
The food menu was pitched at the value end ,light bites £6,mains £9.50 but there must have been a problem with the kitchen flue as the pub interior was smokey and honked of cooking. The barmaid tried to get the cooling system to extract the fumes but this didn't see to work,so the front door was propped open allowing traffic fumes to mingle with the haze.
Just Oakham Inferno on handpump (NBSS 2.5) while Doom Bar and St Austell Tribute clips were reversed.Irish music sessions on Sunday from 6.30pm would not be enough to tempt me back.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cobden Arms

Inconspicuous pub in the middle of a parade of shops at the south end of Camden High Street near Mornington Crescent underground station. Modest rectangular bar with a central column and two small additional seating areas located up separate half-flights of stairs at the back. Fairly traditional furniture and decor, with a couple of TV screens and some background music. Landlord (£4.20) and the regular Sharp's Atlantic available from the two handpumps on this visit.
