Visited 12/02/25. Visited previously as the Hampshire on 02/08/23.

Single cask offering of Old Speckled Hen. Keg offering of Guinness, Orchard Thieves cider, Heineken, Neck Oil, Moretti, B&C Old Mount cider, Amstel, Bones lager from BT, Brixton Reliance Pale Ale, Fosters, Cruz, Inch's cider.

This place has changed since i was last here as the Hampshire, essentially an Indian restaurant that had a bar area and was the only punter there on my visit. This now part of the Belles Pubs & Restaurants small chain of London (?) venues and has been styled to within an inch of its life. Indeed, the lights out the front must be confusing for air traffic oi the Heathrow airspace. There is a seating area to the left of the entrance in this fully chessboard patterned tiled area. All the action is to the right of the entrance with the glitzy bar counter against the left-hand wall in the middle of this space. Seating around the bar area is provided mainly by red leather banquettes, with small round or square tables and small leather upholstered low stools the other side thereof. There are plenty of TV's in the venue tuned into a variety of sporting channels. Would expect there to be commentary on big live games but an R&B soundtrack was playing during my visit. There was a seating area behind the main bar area and beyond the open kitchen that felt a bit calmer. Some bifold doors offered access to a rear seating area but not in play on my visit. This place will find its W6 crowd, but it won't appeal to many pub aficionados on here.

This has now joined the Belle group of pubs so has been renamed and tarted up accordingly. The frontage is eye-catchingly back and gold with a floral awning and lots of bright lights. Inside is in a similar vein with lots of glitzy mirrors, black and white floors and artificial flowers all over the place. It extends round to an open kitchen with more tables at the back, and a courtyard area behind, while there appears to be a second room to the left which was shut off. The main room is dominated by a stupidly large sports screen, with a few repeaters around, while the bar is distinguished by a row of shiny fonts including a couple of mainstream 'craft'. The good news though is that a couple of handpumps have been included and the arrival of London Pride is imminent. It's bright, clean and modern but whatever market these places are aimed at it is not me.

No ale on at all when I called so I fell into the same trap as Tris C below with an expensive Neck Oil! I wouldn't bother again.
