My second nearest pub, the Art Deco interior referenced below was removed about four years ago, only highlighting the importance of getting reviews up before they become out of date. And not a gastropub.

Art Deco, immaculately clean yet smelling badly of Sunday lunch cabbage. On a Wednesday afternoon.
Landlord (the only cask) in average condition. Few other patrons. An open plan gastropub.

Another classic old pub externally which has been modernised inside into an upmarket bar/kitchen/restaurant effort. A somewhat restrained atmosphere although it still has something of a pubby feel in the front part. I don't know what the Napoleonic connection is but there is one wall of portraits of the same and his buddies. Just TT Landlord on pump but in drinkable order.
