A street corner Greene King tied house,although the square open plan interior is wood panelled in parts,it really lacks atmosphere.Furniture is crammed in with a mix of banquettes,high tables and dining style tables and chairs.The muzak was a dirge,the corporate menus scattered everywhere indicated that food service reheated gruel is all that's on offer.At least the flatscreens were on mute.
The 4 handpumps were offering GK IPA,Abbott ,Rockin' Rudolph and TT Landlord (NBSS 1.5,lifeless,tasted wrong).Apart from the cheery barmaid ,this pub is truely awful.Avoid.

A fair-sized corner pub of one large room with good traditional furnishings. A few TV screens are placed round the sides, and there is a somewhat out-of-place fireplace at one end pretending to be a library. There are a few tables out on the pavement for outdoor types. Draught beers were Landlord and Belhaven 1719 alongside the obligatory IPA and Abbot.

Warm and inviting.Lots of fairy lights around the windows.Nice hubbub of conversation.Cask Trumans -swift .Landlord and 2 GK duds.
